Ubuntu
Philosophy
In 2020/21 people from Ubuntuhuis, neighbours and artists of the neighbourhood make a dance-theater performance at cultural center Het Wilde Westen to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Ubuntuhuis.
Ubuntu comes from the Zulu saying: “Umuntu ngumuntu ngabantu” and means “I am what I am because of who we all are.”
We explore this theme together and find beside other that improvisation performances reflects the ubuntu philosophy nicely: Joining a field where you can enter and participate in an own way as leader, follower or witness.
We develop a common language by dancing, playing, performing, and celebrating together,
